Yahoo Messenger coming back

Does anyone still remember Yahoo Messenger, the instant messaging client that was a big hit with teens in the 1990s and early 2000s?


Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat have all taken the lead row in instant messaging but Yahoo! Messenger is staging a comeback.

The new Yahoo Messenger which will run on android and OiS comes with a set of new messaging apps. The older web-based Yahoo Messenger will continue to be supported for the next couple months but will eventually be retired, the company says.

You login with your phone number or Yahoo Mail account and the app scans your contacts who are already using the app. It does comes with a feature to unsend a previously sent message.
