You can now use your Gmail mailbox on Yahoo Mail

You can now manage your Gmail mailboxes right within the Yahoo Mail app.

To add a Gmail mailbox, tap the person icon at the upper right corner of the Yahoo Mail app’s inbox screen, tap “Add another mailbox,” choose Google among the account types, and enter your details in the ensuing sign-in screens.


After adding your Gmail account, you can already view, manage, and search your Gmail mailboxes alongside whatever mailboxes you may have from Outlook.com, Hotmail, AOL, and, of course, Yahoo Mail.

Note that with Gmail mailboxes, left-swiping on the message list archives the message instead of deleting it. If you want to delete it, you need to tap the delete button on the toolbar at the bottom of the message, which now also includes an archive button. Also, archived messages can be found in the “All Mail” folder, just as they would in actual Gmail.
