How to lose your creativity

Being a tech person can sometimes be overwhelming especially when you have to keep being creative and you deal with so much information and data.

There are a number of booby traps that can stifle your creativity if not put into check and one of it is to have a provision mentality. Yes, as a tech person you want to make a good income but when you allow this to override everything you do, your creativity is bound to suffer.

A provision mentality is when all you think about are your upkeep, how are you going to pay for that car, how you are going to pay for that house and stuffs like that. This does not only apply to tech person but creative person generally.

Once you fall into this trap, it will take up most of your thinking and your creativity is sure to go down and your clients will notice it. Some of them might bring it to your notice, others will keep quite and move on to hire someone else.

When this happens you will begin to lose businesses and won't be able to meet the payments that you worry about.

The Solution - Have an abundance mentality. Be optimistic.

There is so much wealth in the world and you need to have this mentality. There are more billionaires now than ever before and there will continue to be. When you free up your mind from worrying you become free to think positively and open up your creative side. We are at the best of times in the century.

You have to be open to anything and pursue your ideas. It does not have to make sense to everybody, most successful people today were told that their ideas were rubbish, most of them didn't know they will be as successful as they are today, Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba - The Biggest e-commerce website in the World, was told that his idea was stupid and terrible, today he is one of the richest men in the world with that 'stupid and terrible idea'.

I doubt if he worries about paying for a car or house. Free your mind and let your creativity go haywire.
