Stop the habit of making abusive comments on social media.

Social media has provide a platform for different kinds of debate from education, social, religion, politics and so on. The debates can be insightful, educative, informative and fun. Sometimes you get a rush of pride when you seem to know more on a subject more than others and it can get heated sometimes.

However there is a line between a heated argument and being petty, insulting, or instigating simply because you feel anonymous on the social media, it does not have to be and you can help yourself.

Recognize your behaviour is wrong.

You need to recognize that your behaviour is wrong, ask yourself if you will really say what you type to someone's face.

Avoid websites, social media, forums and blogs that encourage such behaviour.

Stop visiting blogs and forums that encourage internet drama, stop looking for confrontation with anyone online, go somewhere else.

Talk to someone.

If you find that you can not help making rude comments on social media, you should consider talking to someone who can give you good counsel.
