Apple CEO, Tim Cook wants programming taught in schools

Apple CEO Tim Cook has joined Microsoft founder, Bill Gates and Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg to suggest that programming be taught in America schools.

This was at the kick off of a program, global Hour of Code at all Apple's retail store sponsored by code.org, a non-profit organization. The students between eight and nine years old were being taught how to program a game.

According to Mashable, this was the first experience with programming for many of the students and shows them that there is more to do online than watching Youtube videos.

Tim Cook says he wants to see programming taught in school as a course just as English and Mathematics.
